Mon, 23 Jun 2014 15:20:12 +0000/?p=667#comment-596I definitely agree with you that the risks of vitamin D deficiency are a bigger concern than a bit of sun-damage (especially with a proper diet and recovery). Check this article to read my thoughts on vitamin D: /vitamin-d-the-sunshine-vitamin/ . If we can resist sunburn through diet and behaviour, then we can have optimal vitamin D and not worry about sun damage. Thank you for commenting!

Sun, 22 Jun 2014 16:31:07 +0000/?p=667#comment-586Hello thanks for this – I will be forwarding it to my partner who burns easily. I never wear sunscreen, I follow many of the tips in this article and I never get burned. Recently the risks of vitamin d deficiency are more concerning than getting burned. What do you think?

Sun, 22 Jun 2014 15:15:54 +0000/?p=667#comment-585Thanks for writing these articles, they are fab. I read the sleep and the sunlight series. I think you write really well and I like how well researched your articles are. I am a new teacher and the sunlight series touched on absolutely loads of the uk science curriculum and you presented the physics in a really accessible way (I’m a biologist). It is an interesting and relevant context in which to teach, for example, the em spectrum, global dimming or even genetics. I look forward to the next article in the series.
