Introduction

Human health varies considerably throughout the developed world. There are those with strength and vitality to spare, and those who are only kept alive via the intervention of modern medicine. Most people lie somewhere in between. Sustainable Balance aims to share information and experiences on how to take hold of one’s health to become:

  • Energetic
  • Productive
  • Strong
  • Athletic
  • Aesthetically satisfied
  • Resistant to disease
  • Resistant to injuries
  • Resistant to stress
  • Free of chronic pain
  • Long-lived

Health is a broad term made up of numerous components. These components are all intimately linked and never mutually exclusive. This means that diet can affect sleep, which can affect the immune system, which can affect athletic performance, and so on. For the purpose of organization, Sustainable Balance focuses on five main health categories: General Health, Fitness, Nutrition, Sleep, and Sunlight.

  • General Health – Any post relating to human health
  • Fitness – Posts about making your body stronger and more effective for as long as possible
  • Nutrition – Posts concerning food and how it affects our bodies
  • Sleep – Posts explaining how your sleeping patterns affect you, what affects your sleeping patterns, and how sleep can be optimized
  • Sunlight  – Posts describing how our bodies interact with the sun’s radiation and how it affects our physiology
